Who is Roxy?
Basically she is a little character I thought up or perhaps stumbled across back in 1997. I was doodling and I had this one small silowet in a huge collage. It really jumped out at me for some reason and I developed it into the roxy character.I suppose she is a romantic Ideal. She's not brain dead like a barbi doll and she's not a gun toting crude stupid thug like a Lara Croft. She hates society as much as I do and avoids it like the plague it is.
Other than that, the comic fits the sci fi genre. As a tinkerer and an inventor , naturally I find it fascinating. I attempt to explore a number of tech issues such as genetic engineering but mostly philosophy and sociology in a satirical way.
I did my first graphic novel of Roxy in 97 on a ms paint prog. a couple of years later I decided to do a longer novel in pencil. I ended up putting it off till about 2000 when I started drawing a few panels. In 2002 I really got into it. I have been drawing and trying to improve my technique with each novel.
Weather I will offer a novel in color I don't know. It depends on the scanning equipment I have availabel. Some scanners I have discovered just don't like to mess with shading produced by a graphite or any other pencil. They come out looking horrible.
